AjaraU17Championship: Semi Finalists Get Jerseys As Organisers Harp On Fairplay



The semifinalists of ongoing Ajara U-17 Football Competitions today get their match jerseys with renewed vigor as semi final duels set to take place tomorrow in Osogbo.



The competition which is sponsored by Ajara Humanitarian Foundation is in partnership with Ilaji Hotels and Resorts.
Recall that lbadan based Hospitality and Nationwide League One outfit had delivered numerous kits and plaques to spice up the tournament which is staged to discover raw talents from schools.



While presenting the jerseys to the beneficiaries, the executive director of the foundation, Alhaji Bayo Jimoh congratulates the last four teams standing in the competition, he further charge the semifinalists to remember to play by the rule in the remaining matches.



"Let me once again congratulate the beneficiaries, the hardwork you have put in sustained you thus far. In the spirit of fair play, the participants are urged to play by the rule. 


"A team is destined to lift the giant trophy and for those that won't, I hope they go back to drawing board, there is always next time. We assure level playing ground for all participating schools.


"To twenty three players scouted by the technical partners, I want to congratulate you all. With best facilities in Ilaji, you will come out fine under the tutelage of modern coaches and I hope it will be a pathway of career progression to abroad. Sincere thanks to Ilaji Hotels and Resorts for adding values to what we are doing, we can't thank you enough." Alhaji Bayo Jimoh, the Giwa Adini of Osogbo land noted.


Meanwhile the stage is set as Rex-Varsity ambush Ataoja High School in the first semi final match while Ido Osun High School targets AN-NUR scalp in the second semifinal. As finalists emerge tomorrow, the coveted trophy and cash prize of one million two hundred and fifty thousand naira are in the offing for the finest school.
