NLO Side, Udala Donates Food Items To Community



Bill Winston said; 'Giving is a way we all can change the world'.


In order to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CEO of Nationwide League One Division One side, Udala FC, Chief Philip Chinonso Udala (Nwaweliteaku) took the words of Bill Winston by taking the love back to his community, to those who needed it the most at a time like this.


He emphasized on the essence of giving and also advised the teeming crowd on the need to adhere strictly to government and medical directives on ways of curbing Covid-19 spread.


He finally applauded Anambra State Government for its quick response in tackling the state's index case and encourage every Nigerian to remain steadfast and positive as we await the total eradication of this pandemic.

Rising Stars players would be encouraged to kill it in class - TM

Rising Stars Team Manager Sulaimon Folarin has harped the importance of education in the life of footballers. He stated that Akure Gunners Feeders would support any player seeking further education.



There are countless professional footballers that have suffered career-ending injuries one time or the other. This can be dangerous with amount of professional players without any secondary career.



Sulaimon, a NIS licenced football gaffer cum administrator and former assistant coach of Sunshine Stars, spoke extensively to ever spiffy whatsApp sports platform, Family United By Football, FUBF.





"We told our boys that anyone interested in going to school should signify. We've agreed to release and support any player who come forth with admission letter. The head coach of the team, Akin Olowookere is a masters holder who loves education very well.





"We are even planning going to Adeyemi College of Education where we can enroll any of our boys that is interested in going to school, so that they can be playing and be schooling. He told FUBF.




Lama as he's fondly called by his admirers right from his playing days starred for Gray's International FC in 2005 before joining Rising Stars. He was part of the Rising Stars squad that played in the elite division of Nigeria Premier League.




"We also have connections with Ondo State University Akungba, our head coach has talked to their sport director, who has in turn gave us his words that anyone that has his results should come for assistance.



"Our players would have no problem furthering their educations, we do encourage them to further. One of our players went for an exam for the whole month. He returned and we paid him full salary without removing kobo from his money. We did this to encourage others.




"We know the importance of education in player's life. Football and education cannot be separated, me as a person will volunteer to pay part of the school fees for any prospective students amongst our lads.




"We have let them realised that life after football is very important." The former Ede Utd and Gray's International FC head coach who holds a diploma in Physical and Health Education from Obafemi Awolowo University lle-lfe concluded.

Omisore, the ex-interational turned Osun Volleyball messiah

Growing up around Liberty Stadium in Ibadan was a landmark in the career of Tunde Omisore, the man who ventured early into Basketball later played Soccer and finally settled for Volleyball, the game which took him outside the shore of Nigeria.



The former captain of Oyo state Volleyball men's team had a spirited performance in his newly fond life as he started as a setter in CAC Commercial High School, Ilesha. His sojourn at Ibadan Boys High School made him to switch role to spiker.




With eyes fixed at medals, Omisore a graduate of University of Ibadan and University of Maryland institute USA
 later won Gold medals in National Schools Sports 1982 and Nuga Games 1984 & 1986.



"I started playing Basketball early, myself with the couples of young guys like Jesus Udong, Modele, Taiwo Olusoga, Kunle Awesu, Tosin Adebambo, Biodun Omilabu and co. Volleyball later took over me in secondary school.



"A great Chinese coach Malik trained me and he predicted that l will become Nigeria no 1 Volleyball player one day." He told Family United By Football, a foremost spiffy and balmy WhatsApp Sports Platform.




Omisore was recently appointed Nigeria Volleyball Federation Ambassador Diaspora worldwide and he is the current Chairman, Osun State Volleyball Association spoke extensively on how he would revamp the Volleyball game in the state.





"Since 2004, l have been donating volleyball equipments to the associations both in Osun and Oyo. Through my personal efforts, Osun Volleyball athletes have been attending various championships and winning medals.




"To establish standard courts across zones in Osun are our priority and we would invest in high school pupils." Omisore who won best player in USVBA tournaments in 95,96,97 and 98 USA volleyball informed FUBF.




Omisore, a versatile Volleyball player won the Belgium league in 1991 with Everbeur volleyball Club Averbode, also expressed that he's working round the clock to secure sponsors and popularise the game in the state.



" l have secured a sponsorship for Nigeria Volleyball Federations, the arrangement which will soon permeates into grassroots will ensure that Volleyball is flying in Nigeria.




"l have also reached out to Osun indegenes in diasporas, we are currently stocking the equipments now, when we are done we will do the official presentations of those equipments through the commissioner for sports after which we will spread it out to the zones." Omisore, FIVB level 2 certified coach/instructor concluded

'No hard feelings' between me and Fatai Osho- Sola Adewuyi

Erstwhile gaffer of Kaduna based Nigeria National League side, Kada City FC Sola Adewuyi has cleared the air on the perceived growing crack in relationships between him and his former boss Fatai Osho reports Coded Sports.



Adewuyi who hails from Osun State starred for both Stationary Stores FC of Lagos and Water Corporations of Akure  in early 90's noted that, there's no love lost between him and his former boss who is the current gaffer at Enyimba FC of Aba. 



" I will never quarrel with my boss Fatai Osho, we only had small issues, there's no how you will stay with a partner that you won't misunderstand yourselves at times." The former coach of Confluence Queens FC of Lokoja told the foremost blazing whatsApp sport platform, Family United by Football. 



Recall that Adewuyi was shot into limelight years back when he won a scouting program organized by Dender FC financier now Remo Stars Sports Club in Kaduna, the achievement which saw him hooked up with Fatai Osho in Dender FC back then. 



The pair would later moved to Lokoja where they both tinkered Kogi Utd. Adewuyi later spent time with Niger Tornadoes FC before being named the  head coach of newly formed Kada City in 2018, the club he later promoted to the elite division, Nigeria Professional Football League. 




Adewuyi who is the Mulumfashi FC head coach has mirrored life after his former boss Enyimba Coach, Fatai Osho.



 " I will forever be grateful to Osho for everything he taught me in my career, l met him in Ijebuode and we had heart to heart talk, since that day, we have buried the hatchet and we remain best of friends in Nigeria's football." Adewuyi a versatile player who called time with Gwandu United in 1997 told FUBF.

NNL: Why season must swiftly resume after the pandemic-Ekiti Utd handler




Following the endless break embarked upon by Nigeria National League NNL, the head coach of Ekiti based NNL outfit Ayodeji Ayeni has submitted that, any attempt to cancel the hibernating league would make the organiser look gloomy.


 
Recall that several attempts have been made for the league to resume but it is believed that there is no wherewithal to restart.


Some sections of fans fans have advised that the league should be cancelled and the leaders of each group should automatically find themselves in NPFL. 



"No l don't subscribe to that, the league should resume after the pandemic shutdown. If the league should be cancelled, then we conclude that there's no progress in the league." Ayeni told FUBF.



LMC chairman Sheu Dikko has made it known last week that cancelling the league after 5 matches is not a way to go. "We all know that the LMC has always been concerned as the apex league to ensure the welfare and sustainability of the leagues below the pyramid, NNL inclusive. 



"We use to offer our support, both financially and regulatory when we can to ensure they keep working. So just before the suspension of football activities we were all locked in serious conversation led by NFF President and hugely supported by the Minister to ensure we got everything back on track not just for NNL but other leagues”. Dikko Said. 



Ayeni, who managed to turn Cynosure FC to a force to reckon with  however suggests way out for the organisers. "The board of NNL can further devise another means of completing the league may be resulting to play the league on zonal basis in a round robin format." He concluded.

Eguma goofed for blasting LMC as Rivers Utd tender apology



Rivers United has posited that, Eguma's  leaden comment about the league organizers didn't in any way represent the interest of the club.


In a statement made available to the public by the club media, the Pride of Rivers found the comments so demeaning and has since apologize on behalf of the coach.


"Rivers United FC has  dissociated itself from comments made in some sections of the media by its Technical Manager, Stanley Eguma which appeared to question the effort being made in developing the League.



"Rivers United wishes to make it clear that Eguma's comments do not reflect the views of the club.



"Eguma has since apologised for any inconveniences caused by his comments and necessary interval review is being undertaking to avoid future occurrence.



"Consequently, Rivers Utd wish to apologise to LMC and the NPFL clubs for this avoidable action of our coach." The statement concluded.



Recall that Eguma yesterday blasted LMC over perceived Television Blackout and poor organisations, his views has been faulted by his employer hence the apology.

Ajiroba set to digitalize grassroot activities in 'brisk and stoic' fashion

The chairman state of Osun Football Association, Chief Rasaq Ishola Mustapha RIM has once again announced his readiness to revitalize  the grassroot football administrations and competitions in the state.


He made this known while featuring on inspiring, blaze and balmy Sports Platform, 'Family United By Football' FUBF.



While answering series of questions posed by the participants, Ajiroba noted that, grassroot is life and attention should be given to activities taking place in the grassroots.



"Let me remind you that grassroots have produced some finest products in the  state. The likes of Late Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi and Ademola Adeshina are few examples of our products who made it to the the top. 




" We have met grassroot coaches and they have been intimated with what we have in stock. Gone are the days of saggy ways of doing things which includes but not limited to unapproved competitions. 



"We are currently negotiating with foreign partners who will soon come in to provide technical supports to our grassroot clubs. We have a lot to enjoy from those partners when our conversation is ripe, but our house must be in order. 



"Therefore, we have decided to revitalize and digitalize our activities from the state to grassroots. Each grassroot club and our affiliated football academy should visit the secretariat for proper registrations and documentations at no cost." Chief Rasaq Ishola Mustapha, the British trained lawyer expressed.



He further noted that, harsh economy in the state is seriously hampering the momentum at which  the association wants to operate but the federation would not relent on its oars of securing partners and worthwhile sponsors.



"We have succeeded in bringing His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi (Ooni of Ife) on board and Kabiyesi has agreed to sponsor the famous and iconic state Challenge Cup now christened 'Ooni Cup'. We have also opened talks with potential sponsors for our inspiring programs such as State Youth League, ALGON Cup and Principal's Cup among others." RIM, who was the sole financier of defunct Nationwide League One outfit Ajiroba Ooni FC concluded.

Covid-19: Two Weeks Rigorous Training Awaits Osun Athletes- Yemi Lawal

As the globe still suffering from the outbreak of the pandemic virus #COVID-19 and the end not in sight yet, it is believed that upon resumption of sporting and other activities, there would be days of rigorous training for all state of Osun athletes.



The commissioner for Youth and Sports in the state, Hon. Yemi Lawal made this known today on air while briefing the public about the activities of the ministry before and during the compulsory stay-home, stay-safe order.  



"The outbreak of corona virus made us to ban every sporting activities in the state right from the primary school to university. Even the state owned teams and other athletes were asked to proceed on break because, only able bodied can do sports as football or sports generally is a game of contact.



"We will start our activities from where we stopped very soon. The state governor is working towards making every youth in the state to be self relied and we have designed various  benefiting programs that will make youths in this state economically engaged and useful." He stated. 



Following the latest release from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, state of Osun is still battling with 20 confirmed cases of the deadly virus. Lagos State has registered 115 confirmed cases while Abuja recorded 45 confirmed cases. The state governor has since ordered the total lock down in the state for two weeks in an attempt to curb the menace.




"We will work on the fitness level of our athletes upon resumption, though we advised them to stay fit and do some personal training while at home. As soon as this season of shutdown is over, we shall unfold numerous and gainful programs meant for the youths since delay is not denial." The young and energetic commissioner concluded.
