I Am Ready For Super Eagles Challenge - Babajide

Omonia Nicosia winger Babajide David, has expressed his readiness to challenge for a place in the Super Eagles under Manager Gernot Rhor.


Babajide who is on loan at the biggest club in Cyprus Omonia Nicosia from Danish giant Midtjylland, believes he has the qualities required to demand a shirt in the Super Eagles.


Speaking during a virtual interview session on one of *Nigeria's finest Whatsapp Group, Family United by Football (FUBF),* the fast winger who modeled his game around Portugese star Christiano Ronaldo insists that he is good enough and has alot to offer the Franco-German tutored side.


"I really think I will fit in perfectly to the style of play of the Super Eagles under Gernot Rhor," he told *FUBF.* 


"I am very fast and know how to use the ball very well. I am very confident and know I have alot to offer the team. 


He continued: "It would be an honour to wear the great white green and help my nation achieve a lot through the round leather game. I am really looking forward to it," he concluded.


Babajide David is a product of Rehoboth FC of Oyo, before joining FC Ebedei where he got a deal with Danish Giant Midtjylland in 2013.

David was loaned out to Norwegian First Division-side FK Jerv on 11 March, 2017 for the rest of the season. On 16 February 2018, he was loaned out again, this time to FK Haugesund.

In February 2019, David was once again sent out on loan, this time to Rosenborg with the option to make the move permanent after the 2019 season.

In January 2020, David signed 6-month loan contract with Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus and played a key role in the team winning the Cypriot championship following the cancelation of the league due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ojaja ll Football Academy, Akinola Martins, has informed that the academy when launched  will see talented kids realise their big dream in education and professional football.



Through the initiative of His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, to help kids develop a lifelong love for education and the game, not only creating talented players who can dazzles on the world scene but helping to nurture positive citizens who can do things with creative minds. These are the aims of establishing Ojaja II Football Academy.



While responding to questions posed by journalists on the foremost juicy Soccer Platform, Family United By Football (FUBF), Martins exposed the way the academy would function.


"l can assure you that the academy is not audio academy, this is something from His lmperial Majesty, you are all aware that His Majesty is a talk and do king.


"We are not just targeting putting these players in an academy here, where they play football and at the end of the day they have to go and face life, we want them to take football as a profession at the same time impart knowledge in them through formal education.


"We are looking at opportunity around the world to take these kids out there, if they were being selected at the world stage (Gothia Cup) in Sweden, then we have to come to the table and discuss with teams over there the importance of education of these kids," he told FUBF.


Akinola, who's the General Coordinator Ojaja Principal Cup further reiterated that talented kids scouted from the annual prestigious 'Ojaja Cup' would form the academy students which would be given chances of showcasing their talents to the world through football and education.


"The Football Academy is working in partnership with international football clubs where they can have subsidiary through Ojaja Football Academy, we would be their face in Nigeria and supply inputs into their clubs, due to the Covid 19 ravaging the world, our plans are on hold but immediately after the pandemic, the ball will be set rolling," he concluded.


Recall that the World and Africa Football Summit have recognized the tourney 'Ojaja Cup' aimed at developing talented kids for the future.

The Head Coach Nigeria National League, NNL outfit, Remo Stars FC Daniel Ogunmodede has underscored the necessity for high-tech sports equipments in players development.



The merchant tactician who is a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University and a holder of CAF C license believes that technology has invaded the world and and by extension it has also entered the sporting arena in a big way.



While reacting to questions from Journalists on Soccer Platform Family United By Football (FUBF), Ijaball as he's fondly called noted that, with functional equipments, players would be fortified and become top competitors.



"Part of challenges facing our players today is exposure, how much access do they have to technological equipments that can improve their performances?



"Some of these equipments reduce laborious inputs with maximum outputs, a program of about 30 minutes could be reduced to shorter time with better results," he expressed.



The former assistant coach of Crown FC further revealed that, Remo Stars would continue to expose her players to world class quipments not only for top performance but for high level competitions even in abroad.



"Presently, we are training our lads with some of these equipments, the club recently acquired the ball server, trampolines, booze balls and other equipments like that.



"Our players are good in this country but what affect most of them is inferiority complex because they were not exposed adequately, reason why some of them fail to compete in abroad.


"That's why we are correcting those lapses in Remo Stars, if an eighteen year old player cannot compete and play in the top league, then when would such a player be given chance to play?" Ogunmodede queried.
