Rivers United players thankful to Gov. Wike after peaceful protests

The aggrieved players of Rivers United on Tuesday morning stormed the Rivers state government House demanding their sign on fees and other entitlements to be paid.

The players were seen displaying series of placards demanding the government to pay them their sign on fees for the 2014/15 season Players of Rivers United who are Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) campaigners on Tuesday morning, December 19, stormed the Rivers state government House in Port Harcourt.

The players believe that the huge sum of money has been deposited in the coffer of the State Ministry of Sports but nothing is said as regards the disbursement of the fund to the concerned players.
