Ololade, Ajayi Call For Support As Osun Utd Intensify Preparations Ahead Of New Season



With the ambience of new Nigeria National League season fast approaching, Osun Utd General Coordinator and Head Coach are optimistic of positive season and call for supports of governments and stakeholders to deliver the mandate.


The club resumption which is dated back in July have undergone rigorous training and selection of fresh legs through sumptuous tune up games and quality friendly matches.


Recall, Omoluabi Giants as they are fondly called surges back to second tier league following a slump into relegation in the previous season with chunk of their personnels retained for the new season.


While chatting with the club media after the training, the General Coordinator of the side, Ololade Gbenga and Coach Seye Ajayi assure that the team will soon be fully ready for the season.


According to the experienced administrator, "With rigourous work we have been doing day after day, I can confirm to you that a very strong team will be presented to prosecute the league for us. The state government have done alot to get us to where we are today and we are greatful.


"We have played series of friendly games and we are still working to adjust the loop holes observed most especially the striking department, we will work to have a goal getter upfront. We are not there yet, if given the needed freedom and support, we will land this team in top division, we have done it before." One time General Manager of the then Prime FC noted.


Osun Utd Head Coach, Seye Ajayi holds similar opinion and informed that players have to justify their inclusion in the squad. "There is competition in the squad right now, we are building on the structure now, though we don't have huge money to acquire expensive striker right now but the team is structured so that anyone can score. With quality friendlies embarked upon, it shows we are almost there." Seye Ajayi, ex 3SC goal poacher confirmed.



Osun Utd will face Ekiti Utd in reverse fixture of the friendly contest tomorrow having played one all in Ekiti. The team also held  NPFL side Kwara Utd. to a barren draw in llorin while playing 2-2 with another Premier side, Sunshine Stars of Akure in a fierce contest in Ile-Ife.
