NPFL: We will play like wounded Lion in Enugu - Akinbinu

Akanni Seyi

Rivers United hit man, Samuel Akinbinu has vowed that United will be on top of their game when they visit Enugu in Match Day six of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

United faithfuls were seen as they left stadium in dismay on Sunday evening after playing one all draw with Aba based side.

Rivers United came back to draw level against Enyimba after the former defunct Prime FC forward, Israel Daniel came on from bench to rescue his side in the closing stages of the encounter as they dropped valuable points in front of their fans.

Speaking to codedreporter.blogspot.com.ng, Samuel Akinbinu hinted that, " It's so painful to share points with our visitor, at least we controlled the game to some extent but goals refused to come our way, in fact we have all what it takes to nail the game.

"Rangers have been putting up impressive performances both home and away this season but with good officiating, we can do the impossible. We are going to make up for the lost points by His grace because we are like wounded Lion.

"Rivers United is the best footballing brand now in Nigeria and we can't afford to disappoint our teeming supporters including the first citizen of the State." Former Bayelsa United point man concluded.
