NNL: Victory delights Agbana

Akanni Seyi

The head coach of Nigeria National League outfit  Nnewi United, Ademola Agbana has heaped praises on his lads for exceptional performance against the bankers from Lagos after their league clash on Wednesday, codedreporter.blogspot.com.ng reports.

First Bank FC were delighted to watch in the early minutes of the contest with excellent foot work and continuous midfield fireworks in an attempt to break the hearts of the home fans.

It takes the effort of a disciplined and well composed defence line marshalled by Tosin Akande and his defensive armies to avert early scares created by the visitors.

Nnewi United point man Ezeali Augustine however drew the first blood in the  26th minutes when he over ran his markers and slotted past the helpless unrushing visiting shot stopper with confidence.

Elum Sochima, increased the tally for his side in the 70th minutes, after seeing his previous attempts being cleared away by the defensive line of the visitor. More goals would have been registered as the momentum swung into the part of Agbana tutored lads but they failed to make some of the glorious chances count.

Coach Agbana turned to Jacob Eke on bench in 86th minutes and the pacy forward justified his inclusion three minutes later with a sublime strike that sent the gallery into wild jubilations.

" My boys played to instructions today as we walloped our visitors with wide goal margin. It's the moment we have been waiting for, to give our fans something to celebrate.

" We shall continue to fight both home and away. The league is becoming furious and interesting, we had earlier forced our visitors to one all draw in the reverse fixture in Lagos", the 'chosen one' as he is fondly called spoke to codedreporter.blogspot.com.ng after the game.
