Aiteo Cup: Jokodolu FC gifts Abia Angels quarters ticket

Jokodolu Queens Football Club of Ogbomoso are set to gift Coach Ann Agumanu- tutored Abia Angels a sure place in the Quarter finals of the Aiteo FA Cup, as they failed to travel this morning from their base in Ogbomoso for Saturday's game in Umuahia.
This would mean an imminent walk-over in the next 24 hours at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Abia, the homeground of Abia Angels.

Jokodolu Fc team secretary it was gathered has written an urgent letter to the NWFL secretary in Abuja, claiming false majeure, that more than half of the team players are down with one sickness or the other, thus incapable of traveling for the game.

An impeccable source revealed that the proprietor and  financier of the club was advised not to waste hard earned money to take the team to Umuahia for a replay against a top Premier League team as Abia Angels that would surely beat them in Abia in the replay fixture of the Aiteo Cup round of sixteen.

The first game ended in a goalless draw with Jokodolu FC throwing away four clear opportunities to win the game.
It was also recalled that the game was played on protest when Abia Angels couldn't produce their players' licenses. The licence was only brought to Ogbomoso two hours after the match by Abia Angels chairman.

According to the competition rules, failure to show up for a scheduled game would earn the erring team a ban from two subsequent editions of the FA Cup. Which means Jokodolu FC won't be seen in the FA Cup until 2019.

Jokodolu FC players were asked to converge at the Soun Stadium, Ogbomoso this morning, where it was announced to them that they wouldn't be making the trip. They were asked to go back to the team's camp, where the Team Manager would reach them later in the day.
