Ogunjobi Cup Final: Yaa Jamiu to battle Olorunda LG






Yaa Jamiu Isibo Football Club of Ede will trade tackles with Olorunda Local Government Football Club of Oshogbo, in the finals of the second edition of Ogunjobi Golden Cup.




Yaa Jamiu FC and Olorunda LG FC put up impressive performances to book their place in the final scheduled for Saturday September 16, at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.





To reach the final, Yaa Jamiu in the first semi-final lost 2-1 to Iwaloye Football Club of Ejigbo after regulation time, but were awarded 3 points, 3 goals, after winning a protest against Iwaloye who fielded an unregistered player (Hammed Yusuf).





Olorunda defeated Orolu Football Club of Ifon-Osun, 4-3 on penalties after full time ended 1-1.





No fewer than thirty-two grassroots teams in the State of Osun, participated in the tourney sponsored by former Secretary General of Nigeria Football Federation Chief Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi, and organised by the Osun Football Association, to boost discovery of talents at the grassroots.





Meanwhile, Nigeria's foremost sports kitting company Cone Sportswear will kit the two finalists.
