The State of Osun have concluded plans to participate in no fewer than seventeen (17) games during this year's National Youth Games in Ilorin.
Speaking at the press briefing organized to intimate the men of the press the activities of the sports ministry, the Honorable Commissioner of Social Protection, Sports and Special Needs in the State of Osun, Com. Biyi Odunlade explained that the state shall present sixty eight (68) athletes to participate in seventeen (17) games.
Judo, Swimming, Karate, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Ayo, Weight lifting, Squash, Cycling, Scrabble, Boxing, Para Table Tennis, Athletics and Badminton are the events the state shall partake in.
While giving kudos to the state Government for supporting the state contingents, Com. Biyi Odunlade asserted that the budget has been approved to take care of preparation, camping, hazards and logistics.
The state contingent shall depart the state on 7th September in preparation for the tournament which will duely take off from 8th September and is expected to last till 17th of September.
