NNL: Crown FC banished to Abeokuta for two years



Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho will play the remainder of their home matches outside their home  ground, the Soun Township Stadium,this is following the decision of  Bet9ja Nigeria National League,NNL to banish the team following incessant crowd violence and frequent assaults on match officials in recent time.

The League management has banished crown to Abeokuta,this means their two home  encounter with Papilo FC of Owerri and  My People FC of Lagos will be played in Abeokuta .
NNL also rules that the Soun Township Stadium will not host any NNL game for the next two years.

Following the humiliation of match officials, referees and players of Abia Comets after the game, Crown are to pay the sum of N2, 000.000, 00(Two million) for beating match officials and the away team, another sum of N1, 500,000 being compensation to match officials on items damaged as well as for two Camera of Abia Comets destroyed will be paid.
Five hundred thousand shall be paid by the club to settle the medical bills for match officials,Abia Comets Players and officials assaulted.

Furthermore, the team manager of Crown FC, Mr.Adetunde Adewunmi and their Physio, Mr.Alabi Jonathan are suspended indefinitely from all NNL activities, both are to also appear before the NNL Compliance Unit on Wednesday 27th of September,2017.


NNL management has equally mandated the Oyo State Football Association and Crown FC management to produce the assailants involved in the attack of match officials and to ensure they are brought before the NNL Compliance Division,before their next home game .
