Osun United will have their hands full when they trade tackle with Elkanemi Babes of Maiduguri in the Aiteo Cup round of 16.

The Omoluabi giants who have turned Osogbo City Stadium to their fortress shall bank on their winning squad to dim off their visitor out of the prestigious tournament.

The home team coming off from their 2-0 spanking of Gateway United last weekend are yet to concede any goal at regulation time in this year's federations tournament.

No doubt, the service of the diminutive midfielder Hakeem Olalere who equally is the captain of the home side is going to be missed, as he is set to miss the encounter due to his involvement in a minor accident within the metropolis yesterday.

United's lanky winger, Victor Okeji has made some rallying call to his teammates and fans to come together and finish the job in a deserving manner in their quest to advance to the last eight of the competition.

"Though l know nothing about our opponent but we won't underrate them. This is the tournament where minnows thrive and the giants suffer.

"l am confident that the game is already done and dusted. We shall work as a unit to defeat Elkanemi Babes.

"Even the absence of our captain shall spur us on during the encounter, we shall win this game for our injured captain popularly known as 'Kebu'." Victor Okeji former Bayelsa United and Gateway striker confirmed to codedreporter.blogspot.com.ng
