ADETUNJI'S INJURY, NOT LIFE THREATENING, DOCTORS CLAIMED.

Medical Doctors treating Abia Warriors' striker, Sunday Adetunji at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital where he was rushed after he fractured his left arm during Abia Warriors stunning 4-2 away victory over Lobi Stars in Makurdi in one of the week 33 games of the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League, have assured that the injury he sustained is not life threatening.

Adetunji, who returned to Abia Warriors camp from Kano where the Super Eagles are currently  preparing for an Africa Nations  Championship qualifier against Benin  Republic next week,  scored two of the goals that condemned Lobi to their first home loss of the season to bring his total to 14 this term but it was not a glorious end for him as he had landed awkwardly and fractured his left arm after rising too high to nod in his second goal and was immediately rushed to the emergency unit of the Benue State University  Teaching  hospital, MAKURDI  where he received treatment.

Dr Enyinnaya Anozie, the head of Abia Warriors medical unit , who joined his colleagues to handle the matter told club media at the Benue State University Teaching hospital that the former Shooting Stars of Ibadan hitman was in a stable condition after receiving treatment.

He, however  expressed fears that the striker may be sidelined for some weeks considering the enormity of the injury .

In his reaction at the hospital ward, Abia Warriors Chairman, Chief Emeka Inyama who also rushed to the hospital with the injured player , expressed worry that a good game for the Warriors ended on a sour note with Adetunji's injury but assured him and all the club's teeming supporters that the striker would be given the best treatment even if it meant flying him abroad to enable him return to action as early as possible.
