ILODUBA NAMED PLAYER OF THE MATCH IN NASARAWA WIN.

Osun Babes defender Iloduba Sarah was named player of the match by Sports Journalists present at the Osogbo City Stadium after thursday's 1-0 victory over league leaders Nasarawa Amazons.

The consistent centre-back expressed delight and was ecstatic with player-of- the-match award following a stand-out performance for the Omoluabi Queens in a very challenging encounter.

The Bayelsa Queens youth graduate who joined the Omoluabi Queens from a non-league side three years ago has been so key to the team and was voted best player of the season last year. She was tidy with her tackles and played with a lion heart ensuring that her side was safe and didn't concede all through the encounter as she
did enough to earn herself best player on show.

Presenting the player of the match award to her, the honourable commissioner for Social Protection, Sports and Special Needs, Hon Biyi Odunlade said he was impressed with the way the team played and tasked Iloduba Sarah and her team-mates to keep working hard so as to help the team achieve its dream at the end of the season.

Iloduba reacted to the award through the club's media team by saying that she is glad over the achievement as it means her hard work has started paying off and promises not to relent on her efforts.

" I am happy for this award even though every player in the squad also deserve it.

" We worked really hard to win today and it just means we need to keep up with the momentum.

" I dedicate this award to all my team-mates who fought so hard to pick the maximum points on thursday.

" We aren't carried away with this victory, as we know we still have a lot of games ahead of us. We need to keep winning as we have another difficult game ahead of us. Who says we can't make it five straight wins? We are going to give our all again against Pelican Stars on wednesday
and we hope to win again." She concluded.

The win over Nasarawa Amazons takes Osun Babes to second on the Premier League table, same points with table-toppers Nasarawa Amazons with 16 points.
