Why Osun Utd must defeat Unicem Rovers

Osun United hosts Unicem Rovers in week 21 of Bet9ja Nigeria National League, NNL. The big game is definitely on the horizon owing to the position of the two teams on the log.



Omoluabi giants will approach the game with all seriousness and fans will have to rely on the live text commentary via the club media outlets as the game goes under key and lock, however, Rovers on the other side must show characters if they are to celebrate something tangible.



The host shall play without two key regular starters in Chigozie Obazi and Okeji Victor who were suspended and due to appear before NNL panel of inquiry to defend the common allegations leveled against them, the chance has presented itself for whoever called upon to fill the vacuum to do the job nicely and convincingly.

United will be motivated to win this clash with the arrival of club's top scorer Tosin Omoyele during the week, the goal drought experienced by the side is expected to be the thing of the past. Recall that, Osun United suffered 'double blow' tragedy as Unicem Rovers won the reverse fixture convincingly in far away Calabar and the team equally suffered physical and emotional attack from robbers on their way from Calabar, along Ore-Ondo axis. This game must therefore be won to restore respite, confidence and further brighten their chances of promotion.



As fans will be monitoring with keen interest, Omoluabi giants must be disciplined at the back, the midfielders should plan excellently while the strikers should be calmed in front of goal. This game must be won for the sake of fans, the suspended players and coaches that are yet to taste  victory since the departure of Duke Udi.


A win today shall take Osun United to dislodge Nnewi United in 8th position and have same points with Bendel Insurance FC who occupied 7th position with 30 points.
