The Galacticos are on the road this Sunday against Remo Stars in one of the Matchday 28 fixtures of the Nigerian Professional Football League at the Gateway International Stadium Stadium Shagamu, Ogun State.
It's the coming together of two teams with different faiths this season. The club with a nascent history thanks to the vision of Kunle Soname came into being in 2004 bearing an adopted name of FC Dender with an initiative of having a grassroot football club mainly as platform for recreational activity for the Youth of Ketu area of Lagos State.
Ever since then the club has blossomed quite well by playing in the Nigerian National League (NNL) and in furtherance to that an inaugural appearance in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
This will be the second time the two sides will be meeting in a competitive contest, a crucial period were both sides need the maximum points in their various quests. A win in this game will ensure the Warriors keep tabs with the Top 5 and maintain Championship trophy dream for the moment while for the Sagamu based side it will boost their confidence level as they seek to escape the murky waters of relegation.
FC IfeanyiUbah are currently 6th on the log with 41 points amassed in 27 matches played while Remo Stars are currently bottom of the NPFL log with 27 points in 27 matches.
